About First We Teach

First We Teach is a consulting firm based in Northeast Ohio dedicated to supporting parents in their role as their child's first educator. We believe that parents play a crucial role in their child's education and aim to empower them with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to facilitate and navigate their child's educational journey.  First We Teach is passionate about fostering a love for learning and helping parents navigate the ever-changing landscape of education. Together, we can make a difference in your child's educational journey.

The field of education in today's world is fast paced and dynamic. First We Teach aims to offer personalized inclusive education training and guidance in the areas of differentiation, intervention practices (i.e. developing an intervention, evaluation, intervention implementation, progress monitoring), special education planning, social emotional and positive behavior support training, and more!

Meet Anna

First We Teach was founded by Anna Everly. Anna is an Intervention Specialist with a decade of teaching experience working with students, parents, and other educators. Anna received her Bachelors of Science in Education from Kent State University with an Intervention Specialist: Mild to Moderate degree. She is currently working towards a Reading Endorsement and Masters of Teaching and Curriculum through Bowling Green State University.

Throughout her teaching career Anna continued to pursue educational opportunities to expand and refine her teaching capabilities. She has a background in a variety of areas including Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) and Evaluation Team Reports (ETRs), educational and assistive technology, positive behavioral intervention, assessment and progress monitoring, de-escalation and verbal intervention, and response to intervention.

Anna founded First We Teach because she believes that there are limited resources available to parents to educationally support their children, especially if there is a problem or the child starts to struggle at home or school in some manner. Strengthening parent understanding of the educational system and providing training and resources to better prepare parents to enhance their child's learning are core values at the heart of First We Teach.

Additionally, First We Teach seeks to support educators on their professional development journey. Anna experienced first hand the limited time and training that is available to educators. Those not trained in inclusive educational practices can be easily overwhelmed and under-prepared to provide quality instruction that meets the needs of their learners. First We Teach seeks to educate teachers and other educational staff by providing quality training, resources, and personalized instruction around a variety of skills that are necessary for a successful educational career.
